From my FB friend Warmog Painting. I love the tight space and the cartoon-like overall style. The horns on the belt-medaillon mocks GW's ogres. Not to mention the little box at the bottom.
Here you go with the description:
The basis of the model is an Avatars of War Dwarf Berserker with an Ork head (I sculpted a nose on with pro-create).
The weapon is cut down from the two-handed Dwarf axe on the berserker spue, and had the head from a single-handed axe added to minimise the Dwarf influence. I thought the rune looked okay to keep as decoration.
The gut plate is a 15mm Greek hoplite shield from Xyston Miniatures,
and the shoulder pad is from the GW Lizardmen Saurus kit. After a
scrounge through my bitz box, I eventually found an old plastic Chaos
Warrior shoulder pad for the left shoulder (not shown in this picture).
Oh,
and base-wise, I used a scrap of a cork coaster as a bit of rock (tip: I
brushed some superglue on the surface of the cork to make it a better
surface to glue the model to), and the treasure chest is from the
Brettonian men at arms command sprue.
Phew! I did more on this guy than I thought!
